When you look in a mirror what do you see? Can you see yourself the way God sees you? How do you know what God sees? To know who we are and the way God sees us, we must know God.
2 Cor 5:17 - We are a new creation in Christ, our old self is gone
Heb 12:23 - Our spirit made in the image of God is perfect
Eph 1:13 - We are sealed with the holy spirit of promise
Our family writes scriptures and words of encouragement for each other on our mirrors. These words and scriptures remind us of God’s promises. While it is important to read the Word, the power of the Word comes through action. We must speak the Word and we must plant it in our hearts. We must purpose to know the author better than we know what our flesh tries to tell us, better than what the enemy tries to speak to us, better than who the world says we are.
When you accepted Jesus, your spirit became alive and brand new - could you see it? To look at yourself physically you can look in a mirror, but how do you look at yourself spiritually?
Let’s look at Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Matthew 5:14 says “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
We encourage you to see yourself not as a reflection, but as the real you that God sees – Perfect, whole, righteous, new, loved, shining brightly and unstoppable for all to see.
God’s plan for you is not in the past but in the future. Let this year be the year you Move forward and receive the plan. Think bigger, think broader, think deeper. Take the limits off God.
