In Philippians 2:9-11 Paul was talking about Jesus when he said, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth: and that every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.
Consider any trials or tribulations you might be facing. Whether it’s sickness, poverty, broken or challenging relationships, feelings of hopelessness, doubt, or fear. Some may feel or seem impossible. As believers, we are reminded that Jesus took these issues and problems to the cross.
In Romans 8:37, Paul writes, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” This scripture reinforces the idea that through Jesus, we have the power to overcome any adversity. The problems we face, no matter how significant they may seem, are not greater than Jesus. They are not immune to the power of His name. They must “Take a Bow” to the name of Jesus!
In Isaiah 41:10, we find further reassurance: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” This scripture reminds us that God is always with us, ready to provide strength and support in times of trouble.
When we face challenges, let’s remember to call on the name of Jesus. Think of having the most powerful tool whenever you want it and seek it.
Anything that can be named takes a bow to Jesus. For His name is above every name, and at His name, every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
With this power and belief, we can take on anything that comes our way!
